Collection: Sensory Bin Basics

My recipe for a fun and engaging sensory bin:

-Sensory Table or Bin: the Ikea table is great but we LOVE the Grapat Free Play Box (it's HUGE!)

-Sensory base of choice- we love chickpeas, dried beans, and lentils (grab 'em while you're getting groceries! Easy peasy!)

-Tools: my tip is to go neutral so it goes with every theme or grab a rainbow set and use the colours that match your set up :) Scoop, tweezers, and bowls or cups are perfect!

-Loose Parts: Grapat has loose parts in every colour making it easy to find ones that match your theme. They may seem like an expensive investment at first, but once you realize how open ended these toys are, and that they will grow with your child (Mandala making as they get older) you will quickly realize you're getting a lot of bang for your buck! Plus- all those trips to the dollar store to get very holiday or theme specific items adds up- plus unwanted storage when not in use and not as environmentally friendly ;)

-Then add some little dolls, animals, or theme specific resources (ex. printables, letter tiles, felt planets, cars, etc.) You can find lots of resources organized by theme here on the site (hit that navigation tab > "Shop by Theme".

-If you want to get really fancy add an AW & Co tray to match your theme (see our selection here or grab one directly from their shop here)
